Venue Spotlight – The Great Outdoors – Saturday

As we prepare ourselves for our traditional Festival Heatwave this weekend, what better venue to enjoy your Saturday Jazz and Blues than outside in the fresh & clean Derry / Londonderry Air ?  (ha – see wot I did there…)

First up on Saturday is the fabulous L.C.D.I. Fun Jazz Picnic, a brilliant family event set to the sounds of Hooker.  Located in the grounds of L.C.D.I. at the old Roe Valley Hospital, come along and visit the kiddies amusement rides, face painting, craft & garden stalls, snack & refreshment stalls & excellent music with a Jazz’n’Blues atmosphere.  One for all the family to enjoy !

Meanwhile, back in Limavady town centre, a few different options are available between 2pm and 4pm.

Enjoy the Dixieland sounds of Bourbon Swing in Drumceatt Square, beside the Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre on Main Street.  Marie Curie will be holding a tea party in The Square, so you are all sorted for refreshments while you listen, while also supporting a very worth cause !

Further up town on Market Street, the sounds of Café Jazz Project will be keeping the shoppers entertained.  While you are up in that neck of the woods. why not get out of the sweltering heat for half and hour and call in to Flair Interiors, to hear the Derry Jazz Quartet.

All of this on Saturday afternoon – quite a line up, and that’s just the outdoor venues…more on the rest soon !
