*Schedule Change* Mr Braidner’s Back
In a change to the publicised billing we are stoked to welcome The Mark Braidner Blues Trio to Limavady Recreation Club on Saturday night.
An ever popular festival favourite, featuring Mark “Bee-Sting” Braidner on acoustic and resonator guitars, Bill Johnston on bass and Michael Conway on drums.
Very popular on the blues festival circuit this trio recreates the pre-war blues sounds of the 1920s and 30s American South.
Mark plays as if he has just stepped off a Mississippi steamboat. An eclectic mix of down home Delta and Country Blues, songs by the likes of Leadbelly, Robert Johnston and Skip James, through to the up tempo city sounds of Ragtime and Hokum originally performed by artists such as Blind Blake, Big Bill Broonzy and Casey Bill Weldon.
With a bit of Rock n Roll and Soul thrown in for good measure it’s sure to be an enjoyable musical experience.
Superb foot-tapping stuff!
