Home straight for Danny Boy Jazz & Blues

3-daysThe final week-end before the Danny Boy Jazz & Blues Festival is now behind us leaving a mere 3 days to go before the opening acts take the stage.

All the preparations are now complete and there’s nothing left to do but sit back and wait for the first few chords to strike up on Thursday.

Over recent posts we’ve highlighted some of the jazz, blues and alternative music acts gracing the stages over this coming week-end but we’ve only really scratched the surface.

Moving away from some of the more mainstream public house venues, you can enjoy the Derry Jazz Quartet at Flair Interiors on Saturday whilst perusing their extensive quality stock of furniture and accessories.

Paul Buckley’s Get Rhythm are at the Masonic Hall also on Saturday afternoon, an all new venue for us in 2015, as is the beautiful Keady Clachan which is hosting a charity event with Errol Walsh & Ted Ponsonby on Saturday night.

If you like to consume wonderful food with your music,  Ursula & Co and High Heel Converse are at Antoinette’s Cafe  on Friday night and Saturday afternoon respectively where you can enjoy some tasty hot snacks and enticing sweet treats along with a bottle of beer or glass of wine (or supplement your normal caffeine intake of course with coffee or tea 🙂 ), and Ursula & Co are also appearing at The Classic on Saturday evening where you can listen to their sweet, soft, romantic sounds to accompany a fabulous evening meal.

And last, but not least, The Rhythm Rascals are will be offering their swing and jazz standards alongside a late lunch or tea/coffee and scones at the Roe Park resort on Sunday afternoon.
