Festival Launch Fundraiser

Kicking off Festival 2023, we are delighted to bring 3 superb acts to the Roe Valley Arts Centre for our special fundraising opener.

Clara Rose, Errol Walsh & Eilidh Patterson will each take to the stage.

BIO – EILIDH PATTERSON

Eilidh (pronounced EYElee) is a warm, engaging singer songwriter of startling clarity.  With songs that cut straight to the heart, delightfully accurate guitar playing, and crystal clear vocals, Eilidh immediately connects with audiences everywhere.

Having released 5 studio albums and an EP to date, Eilidh (from Derry, N. Ireland) is a hard-working independent artist who is driven by her desire to connect with people.  This desire has seen her perform regularly across Northern Ireland and at festivals such as SxSW in Austin TX (3 times), Folk Alliance in Memphis TN, and Celtic Connections in Glasgow, Scotland.

Over the years she has worked with established artists in the folk scene both in the studio and on stage, most notably with Beth Nielsen Chapman.  Regularly appearing on TV and radio, Eilidh has taken part in many live broadcasts and programmes for BBC NI and her music is played on radio stations across the UK and Ireland.

BIO – ERROL WALSH

Errol Walsh is an award winning singer/songwriter from Northern Ireland.

Awards include BCMA album of the year 1997 for “Coyotes” (recorded in London at Dave Gilmour’s Astoria studio) and the “Spirit of Antrim” award for “Waltzin’ in the Water” (recorded in Nashville).

He has toured throughout Europe, America, Canada and Australia.

His lived-in voice and care-worn tales of life, love and luck are showcased in his latest eclectic roots album “Through Your Eyes ” – a collection of evocative and introspective songs exploring musical influences from his long career.

BIO – CLARA ROSE

One part whiskey, one part roses, and one part Gaelic grit.

Clara holds a Bachelor of Music from N.U.I Maynooth and also spent 2 years in the Irish World Academy of Music & Dance while gaining a Music Therapy Masters from The University of Limerick. She also spends half an hour each day polishing her All Ireland Medal for Sean-Nós singing. She’s a featured artist on the 2013 album release from Irish blues harmonica legend Don Baker, entitled My Songs, My Friends. Clara Rose features alongside Sinead O’ Connor, Finbar Furey, Mick Pyro, Liam O’ Maonlai, Brian Kennedy and Paddy Casey among others.
